The Eagle, Wolf and Bear Cabins
Get lost in the peace of the mountain
Rental Cabins
Located in the foothills of the White Mountains, our rustic board and batten lodges meld into the landscape of Oak Hill Farm. Red metal roofs echo raindrops or deflect the heat of summer. The door to each lodge depicts the animal for which it was named: Eagle, Wolf and Bear. We have furnished the lodges as if we were entertaining friends or family. Each carpeted 24' x 24' lodge has an open floor plan and pine paneled walls that arch to a beamed cathedral ceiling. Each has heat, a ceiling fan and air conditioning if needed, a Keurig coffee maker, a small microwave and a dorm-size refrigerator. We've added paper-goods, K-cups, creamer and sugar. There is a propane grill right outside the cabins for your use. A tall bookcase in each cottage contains a diverse library of books, DVD and VHS movies, board games and puzzles. We don't get a TV signal here, therefore, In lieu of TV commercials and depressing headlines, we offer a TV with a DVD/VHS player and a wide range of movies from vintage favorites to new releases and some for the little ones as well. We have recently added Wi-fi to the farm as well!
The Eagle Cabin
Eagle
The Eagle Lodge (our guests are beginning refer to it as The Eagle Nest) is an airy cottage furnished with two queen-size beds dominated by massive carved Italian headboards. The beds are made up with pastel quilts and lots of pillows. We have provided thick comforters for cool nights. This cottage also has a queen-size sofa bed that is quite comfortable as a twin if you don't want to fold it out. Little ones are delighted to find a plush chipmunk looking down from the rafters.
The Wolf Cabin
Wolf
The Wolf Lodge is a well-appointed cottage featuring two queen-size beds with classic pineapple-post mahogany headboards, as well as a twin bed tucked into its own alcove. The beds are made up with bright comfy quilts and comforters. The ceiling of the twin bed alcove has glow-in-the-dark constellations above.
The Bear Cabin
Bear
The Bear Lodge has a king-size bed as well as built-in cupboard bed reminiscent of the nook Heidi slept in at Grandfather's. A bookshelf within the nook holds a myriad of treasures including a copy of the book "Heidi", a collection of children's classics, stuffed animals, a silly wooden green frog, a couple of sheep and an awesome dignified cow. This cottage has a 93" couch that just begs you to sink into it.
We recommend that you sleep in, get up when you feel like it and enjoy your coffee or tea on the porch watching Piliated Woodpeckers darting in and out of the forest, chipmunks foraging for their breakfast or deer wandering along the edge of the woods. We sometimes see a flock of wild turkeys or an occasional moose. Or if you'd like to catch the sunrise on the hill, head up toward the summit and take your morning tea to the top!

Frequently Asked Questions
DO WE HAVE TO BRING OUR OWN TOWELS?
No we provide thick, thirsty towels.
Can we hike/bike/snowshoe or cross country ski on the trails?
Yes, at your own risk! Please be mindful of the tubing, flora and fauna and of course our wildlife.
Are you located on water (lake, pond, river)?
No, but Stanley Pond is at the bottom of our road and you can kayak, swim or fish (summer and winter) there. You can get a fishing license on-line. There is also a public beach in Brownfield.
Are there restaurants nearby?
Yes, nearby Cornish offers a variety of dining opportunities.
DO YOU ALLOW PETS?
Typically no, but we allow service animals - please call to discuss further.

That is unnecessary as the tap water in the cabins originates from a spring - most likely the same aquifer that your bottled water came from.

Yes.
Is there an iron and ironing board in the cabin?
Yes.
